The Director of the International Festival Sarajevo ‘Sarajevska Zima’ Ibrahim Spahić announced that on Wednesday, 26 February, there will be an official opening of the General Assembly of the European Association of the Festival (EFA), which represents 109 festivals from 44 countries.
He announced that 150 representatives from different countries will travel to Sarajevo, and the press conference on occasion of this huge event will be held on Wednesday at 19:00.
‘’At the conference, President of EFA Darko Brlek and the General Secretary of EFA Katrin Deventer will speak’’, said Director Spahić.
Among the events that will be devoted to EFA, Spahić singled out an exhibition by Bojan Brecelj called ‘Singergija’, which will open on Wednesday, 19:30 in hotel Europe, and the exhibition will include current events as well.
Project ‘Singergija’ Sarajevo is the reflection of European identity in the eyes of the people of Sarajevo, and it is a collective work of art that occurs in different locations for the third year as part of this festival.
Director Spahić said that on 27 February at 20:00, there will be a concert of the Sarajevo Philharmonic in honor of EFA, where the premiere performance of the composition ‘Bosna’ will take place. The composer is Eric Breton, soloist Lidija Majo and the composition was done based on the text of Nedžad Ibrišimović.
On Friday, 28 February, the awards of ‘Snowflake’ will be handed out at the exhibition of works from the International Art Colony “Počitelj 2013”.
In honor of the European Association of the Festival, a concert by Mostar Sevdah Reunion will be held on Friday at 20:00 in the House of Armed Forces in Sarajevo.
