A new shopping center worth more than 16 million BAM should be constructed at the entrance to Sarajevo, in the area of Ilidza.

The shopping center called Big Box is a project of the company Lake from Sarajevo, which has already realized several investments in the capital city of BiH, as announced by Independent Research Center (NICK).

The project was offered within a new project that is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and it is aimed at promoting the investment in the region of the Western Balkans. BiH was presented with three investment opportunities, and besides the shopping center Big Box, there are also construction of wind farms near Glamoc and Ljubinje.

The feasibility study was created, as well as the design, and the location is ready for the construction. The company is looking for a foreign partner that would invest funds in the amount of around 5.4 million EUR, as stated on the “Invest in SEE” website.

According to the information provided by the company “Lake”, the project that is in the preliminary phase is located on a total of 24.000 square meters, and along the main road that is leading to the Corridor 5C in the direction of Mostar and the Croatian coast. The road is located in Blazuj, Ilidza, and the largest shopping and sales centers are placed next to it, in the area with about 800,000 residents.
