160 Migrants including Children transferred to the Temporary Center

Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners Affairs transferred 160 migrants today who were found at two locations in the area of ​​Cazin and transferred them to the temporary reception center Lipa, the Service for Relations with Foreigners stated in the press release today.

The found migrants stayed in improvised accommodation, and among them were 19 families with 29 minor children. Most of them are citizens of Afghanistan and Iran.

During the implementation of these activities, five unaccompanied minors were found, of which the Center for Social Work was immediately notified in order to initiate procedures for determining guardianship and its further accommodation and care.

Currently, medical examination, identification and registration activities are being carried out, as well as accommodation in the preventive isolation part of the temporary reception center Borici and Lipa.

The activities were carried out in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una Sana Canton, and with the support of the medical team of the humanitarian organization SOS Bihac.
