Number of Registered Unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina decreased

In March 2020 the number of registered unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 398.504, according to the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

If we take 2018 as a base year (2018 = 100) and compare March 2020 with the same month of 2019, we will notice that the number of unemployed decreased by 5,3 index points, or in absolute terms the number of people registered as unemployed decreased by 24.915.

If we compare registered unemployed by qualification structure, we will notice that the largest number of unemployed are highly skilled and skilled by 127.618 followed by those with a high school diploma by 113.220 and unskilled by 109.972.

The lowest number of unemployed are those with higher education by 6.634, followed by those semi-skilled by 7.096.

The share of female population in registered unemployed amounted to 56,9% or in absolute terms 227.106 females.

In the female population, the largest number of unemployed are those with secondary education by 72.322, then those unskilled by 64.140 and those with highly skilled and skilled qualification by 58.974 females.
