Sarajevo policeman showed courage by rescuing a crying child from the fifth floor on Thursday evening after passers-by and neighbors heard the child’s crying and calling for help.

The stressful event that took place on ZAVNOBiH Square, however, ended happily after a brave rescue performed by a member of Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Internal Affairs, Klix.ba news portal reports.

As soon as they arrived, one of the officers used the door to make a bridge between the two balconies and entered the apartment where the crying child was locked.

The police told Klix.ba news portal that the five-year-old child was alone in the apartment, and the neighbors also said that he had been crying all day. It is not known where the child’s parents are, and the Center for Social Work was informed about the whole case.
