Last year, more than 83 million BAM were spent on gross salaries and compensations of employees in 25 state institutions. These are data from the Office for Audit of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and presented in the financial audit reports for last year.

The undisputed leader when it comes to allocations for salaries and allowances is the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), which spent more than 25 million BAM last year, Avaz news portal reports.

In second place is the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, with more than 10 million BAM spent. The third position in terms of the amount spent on gross salaries is the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH with almost six million marks.

Also, the report shows other costs of state ministries and agencies, and especially interesting are the costs of employees on travel.  According to the data of the Audit Office, 25 state institutions during 2019 spent almost three million BAM (2,906,506) for travel expenses, and SIPA is in the lead on this basis as well.

Namely, this agency spent 576,600 BAM on the travel expenses of its employees last year. In second place is again the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH with 364 thousand BAM, and in third place is the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations with 276 thousand BAM.
