Bajevic sent Three new Invitations for Matches with Italy and Poland

Selector of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dusan Bajevic, sent three new invitations on Wednesday to the players for the UEFA League of Nations matches with Italy and Poland.

After Miralem Pjanic, who tested positive for the coronavirus, and Besim Serbecic and Rade Krunic were injured from the original list, calls were made for their replacements today.

So Amir Hadziahmetovic (Konyaspor, Turkey), Adnan Kovacevic (Ferencvárosi TC, Hungary) and Luka Menalo (GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia) were invited to the gathering on August 31.

After the “A” list of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the UEFA League of Nations matches against Italy and Poland was published on Monday morning, the journalists asked questions by e-mail, which were answered by the selector Dusan Bajevic and his assistants Rusmir Cviko and Slaven Musa.

About the goals of the BiH team in this competition, selector Bajevic says that the goal is to be better placed, ie to be in one of the first three places. Italy, Poland and the Netherlands are demanding opponents and it is difficult to predict anything. The goal is to achieve the best possible placement and stay in League A.

“We believe in our players and we hope that we can achieve results that suit us.”

Bajevic also spoke about the preparation plan of the “A” team:

“I hope that all players will be healthy and come to the gathering on August 31 at BiH Training Center in Zenica. Here we will prepare until September 3rd, when a departure for Italy was planned. In those three days, we will try to do some things and get to know each other as well as possible. We will have all the conditions in Zenica to do that part of the preparations with quality. ”

Bajevic pointed out that there are 45 players on wider list, which he reduced to 27 for this gathering.

“They all deserve to come to the national team, and we have a lot of games ahead of us and we will see how things go. My associates and I spent a lot of time analyzing and talking. We approached the work seriously and responsibly, and the product of that is the list.”

“It will be difficult to play in front of empty stands, we are all used to a different picture. I hope that a solution to the corona virus will be found as soon as possible and that we will get back on track as soon as possible.”

The “Dragons” will play their first match on September 4th in Florence with Italy, while on September 7th, Bajevic’s team will meet Poland on “Bilino Polje”.

The selector Dušan Bajević is counting on the following players in these matches: Goalkeepers: Ibrahim Šehić (Koniaspor, Turkey), Jasmin Burić (Hapoel Haifa, Israel), Asmir Begović (Milan, Italy). Defense: Toni Sunjic (Dinamo Moscow, Russia), Sinisa Sanicanin (Vojvodina, Serbia), Ermin Bicakcic (Hoffenheim, Germany), Besim Serbecic (Sarajevo), Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal, England), Eldar Civic (Ferencvaros, Hungary), Branimir Cipetic (NK Siroki Brijeg), Darko Todorovic (HNK Hajduk Split, Croatia), Zoran Kvrzic (Kayserispor, Turkey).

Midfield: Miralem Pjanić (Barcelona, Spain), Gojko Cimirot (Standard Liege, Belgium), Rade Krunić (AC Milan, Italy), Stjepan Lončar (HNK Rijeka, Croatia), Muhamed Bešić (Everton FC, England), Anel Šabanadžović AEK, Greece), Amer Gojak (GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Deni Milosevic (Konyaspor, Turkey).

Attack: Edin Visca (Istanbul Basaksehir FK, Turkey), Miroslav Stevanovic (Servette FC, Switzerland), Haris Duljevic (Nimes Olympique, France), Haris Hajradinovic (Kasimpasa, Turkey), Edin Dzeko (AS Roma, Italy), Armin Hodzic MOL Fehervar FC, Hungary), Elvir Koljić (CS Universitatea Craiova, Romania).
