In the last two days, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has returned 16 Turkish citizens who resided illegally on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey.

The inspectors of the Service discovered 16 illegal migrants who were staying in BiH and who were determined to be citizens of Turkey in the procedure, and they were expelled from the territory of BiH with a ban on entry and stay for a period of one year.

Until their departure from the territory of BiH, the citizens of Turkey were under surveillance at the Immigration Center, and then they were escorted to the Sarajevo International Airport and left Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of measures and activities to combat illegal migration, in cooperation with the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs and the International Organization for Migration, through the Assisted Voluntary Return Program, 11 persons were removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to their countries of origin and they are six citizens of Pakistan and five citizens of Iraq.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH imposed a measure of expulsion on those persons due to illegal stay on the territory of BiH, with a ban on entry and stay for a period of one year.
