Soon, the mountain Majevica near Srebrenik will be richer for a sports and recreational complex. The Tourist Board of the City of Srebrenik, together with the City Administration, has started the construction of a sports and recreational center on Majevica Mountain in the past few months, the Tourist Board told eKapija.

“Srebrenik is a pioneer when it comes to establishing a city tourist board in the area of Tuzla Canton. Immediately after the founding of the Tourist Board, we started with concrete plans and projects in order to make the best use of the very rich natural resources of Srebrenik. These days, the second phase of works on the project of the sports and recreational complex has begun. Along with everything else worth visiting, from our Gradina tower, mountain lodge, ethno garden Besic, hiking and biking trails, the construction of this center will complete the tourist offer of Mount Majevica and position Srebrenik as an unavoidable tourist destination,” said the mayor of Srebrenik Nihad Omerovic.

The Tourist Board of the town of Srebrenik recognized Majevica as an extremely valuable tourist destination. They received land from the city on which the construction of a sports and recreation center is planned.

The complex will have sports fields, a park, playrooms, a restaurant. The entire investment will cost around 2.2 million BAM and will be ready for June 2021, when the opening is planned.
