Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina publishes New Report on Blocked Accounts

The new report on blocked accounts in the Unified Register of Accounts of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina states that at the beginning of September 2020, 95,527 accounts of business entities were blocked in BiH and that 52,011 companies have blocked at least one account.

In one month, the number of blocked accounts of business entities decreased by 14, while the number of companies that had at least one account blocked decreased by 15.

The new report, which contains 3,823 pages, lists business entities from all spheres of social life, from businesses, shops, hairdressers, gas stations, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants, to various agencies, cooperatives, and companies. This list also includes mines, local communities, municipalities, sports federations.

In the first report of the Central Bank of BiH, published in early November 2012, the number of blocked accounts of business entities in BiH was 58,038, while 35,694 companies had at least one blocked bank account.
