The President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, spoke on Monday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, John Ginkel, about the current political situation, the stability of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Euro-Atlantic path, economic development, and important infrastructure and energy projects.
In an open and constructive conversation, the importance of preserving peace, political stability, and institutional dialogue as the foundation for further progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina was emphasized, the Office of the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
Bradara emphasized that BiH achieves the best results when decisions are made through internal agreement, the responsibility of domestic political actors, and full respect for the constitutional order and the equality of constituent peoples. She emphasized that the country needs a stronger focus on dialogue, consensus, and issues that directly affect the daily lives of citizens.
The topic of the conversation was also the role of the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina and possible changes in that context. Bradara emphasized that domestic political actors should and can take responsibility for key processes in the country, while strengthening internal dialogue, political agreement and institutional accountability as the foundation for long-term stability in BiH.
Special emphasis was placed on the Euro-Atlantic path, economic development and projects that can create new jobs and give young people a clearer perspective in BiH.
Infrastructure and energy projects important for the Federation of BiH and the entire country were also discussed, including projects that can contribute to security of supply, economic integration and greater competitiveness, while the importance of a responsible agreement on the issue of state property was also highlighted.
Bradara thanked the United States for its continued support for stability, reform processes and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that international partnership is important, but that the country’s long-term stability depends on the ability of domestic political representatives and institutions to take responsibility for key processes and find sustainable solutions.
The interlocutors concluded that Bosnia and Herzegovina has serious development potential, but that its realization requires more political maturity, more efficient institutions and a clearer focus on specific projects.
The importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation was confirmed, with a shared assessment that the future of BiH should be built through agreement, stability, a Euro-Atlantic perspective, and projects that bring visible benefits to citizens.
