In accordance with its competencies, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs continuously carries out intensified activities to control the movement and stay of foreigners aimed at controlling places where migrants gather and inspecting legal and natural persons who provide accommodation services, writes Avaz.

Inspectors, in cooperation with the police, carried out joint activities in the area of Sarajevo, Bihac, Velika Kladusa and Donji Vakuf, which resulted in the finding of foreign nationals, who illegally entered or stayed on the territory of BiH.

Due to illegal entry or stay, the Service imposed a measure of expulsion on 44 foreign citizens with a ban on entry and stay in BiH, including citizens of Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, and Pakistan.

The mentioned persons were placed under supervision in the Immigration Center or their movement to a certain place was restricted until they left the territory of BiH.

In the facilities in the area of Sarajevo, Velika Kladusa and Bihac, during the inspection, certain irregularities were found, and the owners of the facilities that provided accommodation services to foreign citizens were issued four misdemeanor orders for non-compliance with legal provisions.

The fine for private person who provides accommodation services is from 200 to 800 BAM, while for a legal entity from 500 to 2,500 BAM, and for a responsible person from 200 to 800 BAM. There are currently 6,007 migrants in temporary reception centers.
