The company Ryanair marked the start of operation of the Banja Luka – Gothenburg route by taking off the first plane from the runway at Mahovljani in Banja Luka on Sunday.

”With this promotional flight, the company is also bringing an action on ticket prices,” it was announced from Ryanair.

This leading European airline stated that the flight on the route Banja Luka – Gothenburg will fly twice a week, as part of Ryanair’s winter flight schedule for this year, eKapija business portal writes.

It has also launched ticket sales at a promotional price of 14.99 Euros for trips until December, which are available for booking only on the Ryanair website until Tuesday midnight on October 27.

The General Manager of Banja Luka Airport, Milan Racic, said that he was looking forward to Ryanair’s new flight schedule, and considered the start of traffic to Sweden very important.

”We continue our excellent cooperation with Ryanair,” said Racic.

A statement from the Banja Luka airport reminded that the coronavirus pandemic had a negative impact on the maintenance and development of air traffic at the Banja Luka airport, so a total of 654 flights were realized in the first half of the year, which is 47.17 percent less than in the first half of 2019 and in the same period, 32,978 passengers were transported, or 50.29 percent less.

Banja Luka Airport starts the winter flight season with Air Serbia flights on the Belgrade-Banja Luka route twice a week and Ryanair with Banja Luka-Gothenburg flights, also twice a week.
