23 New Cases of Coronavirus confirmed in Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, 23 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton. In the same period, 58 people recovered from Covid-19 infection.

Of the mentioned number of newly infected, 15 of them, ie 65.22 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Unfortunately, one patient who was infected with this virus passed away yesterday. 366 people were tested for coronavirus last day. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 702 active cases of COVID-19 infection. There are currently 3,378 of our fellow citizens in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 52,117 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered, and 50,181 have been cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 28, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 47.

Currently, 184 patients are hospitalized in CS, 116 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”68 patients.

There are six patients on the respirator, four at the KCUS and two at the General Hospital. At the same time, oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is used by 16 patients at the KCUS, and five at the General Hospital.

In the past 24 hours, five people were released from hospitalization.

The Covid call center recorded 283 calls.

The Ministry of Health of CS and health institutions thank the citizens and ask them to continue to respect all prescribed hygienic and epidemiological measures.
