studentsTwenty-four foreign students, teachers and associates, who came through different mobility programs financed by the EU, will attend this academic year at the University in Sarajevo.

Foreign students will stay in BiH from one semester (six months) to one academic year (10 months) through programs such as Erasmus Mundus, CEEPUS, “Mevlana”, but also based on agreements on bilateral cooperation between UNSA and partner universities in the world.

Deputy Chancellor for the international cooperation of the University in Sarajevo prof.dr. Ugo Vlaisavljević stated in Sarajevo today that orientation program is being organized sixth year in a row.

”When it comes to academic community in BiH, the EU has been present for at least six years. Exchange programs have been implemented and every faculty of the University in Sarajevo has tradition to host foreign students,” explained Vlaisavljević.

He emphasized that these programs are important because students at other universities can acquire knowledge they could not acquire here, but he assessed that professors of the University in Sarajevo showed they can participate in academic communities of renowned universities.

Expert associate for international cooperation of UNSA Adnan Rahimić explained that foreign students will get all necessary information for studying at University in Sarajevo today, but also about extra curricular activities such as visit to Herzegovina and Srebrenica.

He emphasized that most foreign students this year are coming from Slovenia, but there are also students from Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany and Poland, and foreign students are mostly interested in faculties of social sciences, however this year every faculty and academy will have at least one foreign student.
