24-hour Inspire & Innovate Hackathon successfully held

spark2The creative competition Inspire & Innovate Hackathon was successfully held at SPARK premises, in the duration of 24 hours non-stop, starting from 16:00 o’clock on Friday (3rd  March) until 16:00 o’clock on Saturday (4th March).

It was a one-day developer marathon where teams have worked hard to develop their own ideas in 24 hours. The organizers made sure that competitors lack nothing – food and drinks were provided for all competitors, so they could endure this lengthy and hard pace of work, and present their projects in the end. The event brought together about thirty participants in a total of seven teams.

The first three places won valuable cash prizes (2000 BAM, 1500 BAM, and 1000 BAM) for their effort, third place won Rollei Actioncam 425 (a gift from SYNC), but they also have the option of entering SPARK program startup. These are the winners and their ideas:

S-Fit (system of automatic exercise monitoring – smart training equipment)

Innovate AR (mobile application for reviewing models in 3D augmented reality)

Zelena kap (smart trash can)

Organizers and partners of this event are extremely satisfied with the response of participants and the quality of the solutions. Inspire & Innovate Hackathon was supported by the Government of Switzerland through the project MarketMakers.
