240,792 Tourists visited BiH in July

Tourists made 240,792 visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina in July, which is 13.6 percent more compared to the same month last year, and 17.9 percent more than in June, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.

517,295 overnight stays were achieved, which is 8.4 percent more compared to July last year, and 25.6 percent more than in June.

Domestic tourists accounted for 24.1 percent of the total number of overnight stays, and foreign tourists for 75.9 percent.

The number of overnight stays by domestic tourists in July was lower by 3.7 percent compared to the same month in 2023, and higher by 13.5 percent compared to June, while the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists was higher by 13 percent compared to last July. year, and by 30 percent higher compared to June.

Among foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were made by guests from Saudi Arabia – 21.5 percent, from Turkey 11.3 percent, Serbia 6.9 percent, Croatia 5.7 percent, Poland 4 percent, Germany 3.9 percent, the United States 3 .2 percent, Slovenia three percent and the United Arab Emirates with 2.9 percent, while tourists from other countries accounted for 37.6 percent of overnight stays.

The net occupancy rate of rooms in July was 45.2 percent, and of permanent beds 37.5 percent, and in the same month last year, the occupancy rate of rooms was 43.1 percent, and of permanent beds 36.5 percent.

The largest number of overnight stays in July in BiH was in hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 92.9 percent.
