The decision on accepting the indebtedness under the Loan Agreement between BiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the project of water supply in Sarajevo was finalized in the parliamentary procedure since both Houses of Parliament of the FBiH gave their approval.

It will come into effect on the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.

The decision includes a debt in the amount of 25 million EUR. The repayment period is 15 years and the grace period is 3 years. The money will be used for the reconstruction of the priority components of the water supply system in Sarajevo, with the aim to reduce water loss and to improve the general efficiency of the water supply system.

During the period of the implementation of the project, it will not be necessary to provide the money for additional co-financing of the project from the budget of the FBiH.

The decision was approved in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH at the extraordinary session that was held on October 30, and in the House of Peoples on November 9, at an extraordinary session as well.
