One of the most attractive and educational segments of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) for people from film production is certainly “Coffee with…”.
Yesterday, everyone present at the Festival Square had the opportunity to meet the crew of the film “Kiss The Future” – from director Nenad Cicin-Sain, screenwriter Bill Carter, journalist and actress Christiane Amanpour, actress Vesna Andrea Zaimovic and producer Sarah Anthony.
“Kiss the Future” is an American-Irish collaboration, an ongoing story of Sarajevo’s resistance during the siege of the city in the 1990s.
U2’s post-war concert was a celebration of the city’s hard-won victory over nationalism.
The movie “Kiss the Future” is based on Bill Carter’s memoir “Fools Rush In”.
“It was emotional watching this movie last night on home turf. To come here and present it in Sarajevo is really powerful. We talked a lot about it and found stories, because people are already familiar with the experience of the U2 group, and it was a great honor for this team of musicians to share their archive with us. The film wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t told from the point of view of Sarajevo,” said the director Nenad Cicin-Sain.
