maticne_celijeIn the last four years in B&H, 4.000 families from B&H deposited stem cells of their children in ‘Cryo-Save’, the leading European and world bank of stem cells.

Sanja Todorović-Vujičić, General Director of ‘Family Plus’ Agency, the exclusive representative of ‘Cryo-Save’ bank of stem cells in B&H, said that since 2009 43 families from B&H were secured the free storage of stem cells.

‘’In the next period we will try to provide enough information to all mothers in B&H on the importance of storing stem cells and to create better conditions for the storage of stem cells of their children through various financial benefits’’, said Vujičić.

She explained that all mothers who wish to store stem cells have to call two months before giving birth in order to prepare the documents and meet the conditions.

Stem cells are used in therapy in more than 73 diseases, including certain types of leukemia, and all members of the family can use them.
