50 percent more Tourists in March than in February

13140572_1167978509919770_212727408_nTotal number of tourist arrivals in March 2016 amounted to 45.245, which is by 51 percent more than in February and by 11.4 percent more in comparison with March 2015. The share of domestic tourists is 32.1 percent and of foreign tourists 67.9 percent.

The number of overnight stays of tourists also increased, thus 83.198 overnight stays were recorded in march, which is by 53.4 percent more than in the previous month, and an increase by 11.4 percent in comparison with March last year. The share of domestic tourists is 28.4 percent and of foreign tourists 71.6 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was recorded in the category Hotels and similar accommodation facilities, with 92.3 percent share.

In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, tourists from Croatia made the most overnight stays (13.2 percent), followed by tourists from the United Arab Emirates (11.4 percent), Turkey (9.5 percent), Italy (6 percent) and Serbia (5.2 percent).
