children2Members of the humanitarian organization IML from Zenica collected more than 5,000 Eid packets, and they will deliver them in the reception centers in Tovarnik and Opatovac in Croatia, on Saturday, the third day of Eid al-Adha, for children of Syrian refugees.

“This was our local idea, which spread to about twenty other cities in B&H. More than 40 volunteers from a number of cities in B&H are involved in this project, and the Association ‘Hava’ from Donji Vakuf and students from Mostar were especially active,” said president of the association IML, Bilal Isakovic.

Citizens mostly prepared sweets, juices and coloring books, which they packed in symbolic gift packages together with Eid greeting cards. Around 20 volunteers will take the packages in Tovarnik and Opatovac on Saturday.
