At least ten Palestinians, recently released from Israeli custody, were transported by Red Cross vehicles to the Shaheed Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah for medical examinations.

According to Israeli authorities, 59 hostages remain in Gaza, 24 of whom are believed to be still alive. On the other hand, more than 9,500 Palestinians remain imprisoned in Israeli prisons, in harsh conditions, including reports of torture, starvation and denial of medical care, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations.

Nearly 140,000 Israelis, including military officials, have signed petitions demanding the return of prisoners from Gaza and an end to the war in the enclave.

Since the start of the Israeli offensive on Gaza in October 2023, more than 51,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November 2024 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel has also been charged with genocide before the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
