70th Anniversary of the Railroad Brčko-Banovići

161013100-1_xlOrganization Committee for the marking of the 70th anniversary of construction of the railroad Brčko-Banovići, headed by the Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Bego Gutić, yesterday defined the program and expenses of the marking of this significant jubilee.

The marking of the 70th anniversary of the construction of the railroad Brčko-Banovići will commence on November 4 in Banovići with a joint exhibition of the Archive and Institute for protection of cultural-historical and natural heritage of the Tuzla Canton with documents on railroad construction.

On the same day, Solemn Academy will be held in the House of Culture in Banovići, at which it will be talked about historical value of the railroad and its importance for the entire region; it was stated at yesterday’s meeting of the Organizational Committee.

On November 6, a ride on a solemn train was planned. The train will take off from Banovići towards Brčko, with all stops included. On the final day of the marking of this event, an exhibition and roundtable “Seven decades of the railroad Brčko-Banovići – historica, social, economic and developmental significance” will be held in Brčko.

Event sponsor is the Government of the Tuzla Canton and 15.000 BAM will be allocated for the marking of this important jubilee.
