The 74th Anniversary of the Battle for the Wounded on Neretva River to be marked

Neretva anniversaryMarking the 74th anniversary of the Battle for Wounded on Neretva River will take place on the 6th of May in Jablanica, as announced by SABNOR in Jablanica.

Marking will be held at the Museum “Battle for Wounded on Neretva River” in Jablanica, and according to the schedule, at 11:15 AM is planned the opening of the exhibition “The historic railway through historical sources” of one of the most important work actions in the former Yugoslavia, youth railroad Brcko-Banovici – Archive of Canton Tuzla.

After the opening of the exhibition, at 11:45 AM will be organized the manifestation “Flower for the wounded”, or throwing 74 carnations from the bridge into Neretva River.

Laying of flowers in the memorial museum of “Battle of Neretva” is planned for 12 PM, after which will be held the official academy and cultural program.

Moreover, a concert for young people is planned as well, as well as the documentary “Bare hands” by Hajrudin Siba Krvavac.

Hereby from SABNOR Jablanica invited all delegations that wish to lay flowers to register at the organizer of the event on the memorial.

Sponsors of the events are the Ministry for Veterans and Disabled Veterans of Defense-Liberation War of the FBiH, SABNOR BiH and the municipality of Jablanica and it is organized by SABNOR BiH, SABNOR Jablanica, the Association “Josip Broz Tito” Jablanica, and the museum “Battle of Neretva”.
