The athletic season in B&H started with the national championship in the sprint discipline, held in Sarajevo.
More than 150 athletes of 15 clubs participated in the championship, in all six age categories.
Most individual first places were won by athletes, organizers of Championship- Athletic Club Sarajevo, who won a total of 8 titles, Athletic Club Glasinac Sokolac won five titles and Athletic Club Toronto Raptors won four titles.
Three national records were achieved in the junior categories.
The championship was held in difficult conditions, considering the low temperature and the ice placed in Zetra.
After the competition in sprint championship the championship in jumping discipline will follow (long jump and triple jump), which was scheduled to take place last Saturday at the hall of Kamberović Polje, but was cancelled due to the ban on public gatherings that day in Zenica. A new date will be determined in the next few days.
Competitions in Sarajevo and Zenica will serve for coaches Kadi Delić-Selimović and Nebojša Matijević for the selection of candidates for the Balkan Indoor Championship, which will be held on 22 February in Istanbul.
