13576334_1221587121225575_152659885_nThe project of modernization and acceleration of the highway Mostar – Široki Brijeg – Posušje – Tomislavgrad – Livno found itself on the list of 112 capital investment projects for BiH in the fields of agriculture, energy, industry, traffic, tourism and environmental protection. For the implementation of this project it is necessary to provide 89 million BAM and the construction will take three years to complete.

“The aim of this project is to connect Mostar with Livno, further connecting that route with Republika Srpska, via Bosansko Grahovo with the highway Gradiška – Banja Luka, and even further with the Republic of Croatia,” said Denis Lasić, federal Minister of Transportation and Communications.

With the completion of the speed road Lašva – Donji Vakuf, it would divide into two branches with a traffic epsilon.

One branch would go via Bugojno and Kupres and connect with the highway Mostar – Livno, where that road would connect with Croatia. By connecting Livno with the speed road Lašva – Nević Polje, the Canton 10 would connect with the Corridor 5 C at the Lašva loop.

The second branch of the epsilon would branch off towards Jajce. The importance of construction and modernization of these roads is evidenced by the fact that the speed road Lašva – Nević Polje is a part of the new expanded European speed road network, the so-called route 2A Okučani (Croatia) – Banja Luka – Jajce – Travnik – Lašva.

Several months ago, the FBiH Government adopted the initiative for the implementation of the project of construction of the speed road Lašva – Nević Polje as the first stage of the project of the speed road Lašva – Donji Vakuf after a concession model.
