The 8th bycicle ride Giro di Sarajevo gathered record 2.200 participants who yesterday afternoon rode through the streets of the capital of B&H in length of 12.8 kilometers.
This time as well, the start line was on Dobrinja and the end line at Wilson’s Promenade, where the party for all participants and spectators was organized afterwards.
Loren Keserovic, the Project Manager in the Organization Giro di Sarajevo, the organizer of the namesake ride, reminded that the aim of Giro is to appeal to the authorities to construct cycling infrastructure in Sarajevo.
“So far, by finding sponsors on our own initiative we have built three parkings, of which the one near the Bosnian Culture Center will start operating in the coming 7 to 10 days”, said Keserovic, adding that they will continue their fight until Sarajevo becomes a cyclists-friendly city.
