A family informative-entertainment event in partnership with UNICEF Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the INFOHOUSE Foundation in cooperation with the Institute for Public Health of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) as part of the “Parenting Month” campaign was held yesterday in Sarajevo.
This event is a way to bring parents closer to the topic of immunization, early growth and development, and healthy nutrition. UNICEF BiH continues to work on strengthening the health system for providing services to parents and children. We secured 1.000 tickets to the Pioneer Valley for children and parents, where today we learned a lot together and had a great time,” said yesterday the head of the early growth and development program of UNICEF BiH, Fatima Cengic.
Visitors to the event had the opportunity to discuss numerous questions about their children’s health and the benefits of regular immunization because proper information is the key to health.
“We left our offices with messages for parents and children on how to take care of their health together. The health care system remains at the service of the citizen’s health, but health is taken care of in the environment where children live the most, which is the family. Today, we place special emphasis on the importance of regular immunization to protect children from infectious diseases, on healthy nutrition, and the need for health control for early growth and development. The FBiH Institute of Public Health calls on parents to trust the health system. Let’s be partners in preserving the health of children,” it was said yesterday by Aida Ramic Catak, assistant director for medical affairs of the Institute.
