Organized by BCIC London and under the auspices of the Canadian Genocide Research Institute, another memorial to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide was erected in London.
As announced by the Canadian Genocide Research Institute, it is a memorial bench, another gathering place for friends of truth, justice and the culture of remembrance in Canada.
“We received a memorial that will spread the important mission in the best way to internationalize the Bosnian culture of remembrance of the genocide in Srebrenica and Bosnia and Herzegovina, first of all in the city of London, and then in Canada and the world. We have received a meeting place for Canadian citizens who are increasingly accepting and publicly presenting judicial, scientific and historical facts about aggression and genocide,” it is stated in the statement.
The memorial in London to the victims of the biggest crime after the Holocaust in Europe, the genocide in Srebrenica, remains a permanent testimony that this crime will be remembered in the name of truth and justice, without which there is no better future for man and civilization.
The monument in a public space, in a beautiful London park, reminds and warns of the committed genocide, the press release points out.
