During Searches in Three Cities, Six People were arrested

Carrying out continuous measures to prevent cross-border organized crime, members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina are today carrying out an operational action codenamed “Štek”, in cooperation with members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, during which six citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina were arrested.

As part of the “Štek” operation, members of the Border Police of BiH and the MUP of the Republic of Srpska carry out official searches of persons, apartments, other premises and movable property in the area of Tuzla and Zvornik in nine locations, and due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have been identified members of an organized, criminal group, who in the previous period committed criminal acts of organized crime, namely: people smuggling and money laundering.

Six persons, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were arrested for the aforementioned criminal acts. The aforementioned activities are undertaken under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
