A torn Flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Entrance of the Country

All travelers entering Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Svilaj border crossing are greeted by the shameful sight of a torn Bosnia and Herzegovina flag.

Namely, in the photo sent by one of the passengers, which was taken a few days ago, you can see the torn flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Back in March 2016, the Council of Ministers of BiH charged all BH institutions to take measures to eliminate observed deficiencies or irregularities in displaying the BiH flag at institutions, border crossings and diplomatic-consular missions.

Denis Zvizdić, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, requested in June of this year that the Indirect Taxation Authority and the Border Police immediately place neat, clean and correctly displayed flags of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all border crossings.

“The flag is a symbol of every country and we must treat it with more respect. This is especially important now during the tourist season and the holiday season when there is increased traffic at all border and border crossings of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Zvizdić.

Clearly, a torn flag does not send a good image to everyone entering the country, Klix.ba reports.
