”The preparation of investment and technical documentation for the construction of a wind power plant, with a power of 90 megawatts and worth 200 million BAM, in the area of Konjic is underway,” as announced by the Elektroprivreda Bosnia and Herzegovina (EP BiH).

A workshop was also held in the Local Community of Bradina, where the citizens, as they pointed out, gave their support for the construction of the “Bitovnja” Wind Power Plant. The workshop preceded the environmental and population impact study.

Assistant to the General Director for Development in EP BiH, Mustafa Music, informed those present at the workshop, which was held last month, about this large project.

During the implementation of the project, as they stated, minimal interventions in the space for the needs of transport and installation of wind turbines are planned, which relate to the widening of the road to the project area and the construction of transmission lines for the needs of connecting this energy plant. It was announced that the local road infrastructure will be arranged and improved.

After the construction of this wind farm, as they promised, everything will be returned to its original state, and special attention will be paid to the cranberry and blueberry plantations.

It is claimed that the benefits of the construction of the Bitovnja Wind Power Plant for the local community are multiple. During the construction, the engagement of local companies that have the capacity to work on the project and the employment of the local population on the wind power plant is expected. The city of Konjic will benefit from the concession after construction.

After receiving all the answers to the questions, the locals expressed their support for this project, as it was announced by the EP BiH, Klix.ba reports.
