Works on the construction of a house for parents of children with malignant diseases in Banja Luka is going as planned. However, it is still uncertain if this house can be completed and start with their work, since at least 120,000 BAM are missing for its completion.
“Works on the construction of a house is currently at the stage of masonry works. The weather was favorable, and the second phase after the foundation is taking place in planned dynamics,” said Dijana Beric, secretary of the Association of Parents of Children Suffering from Malignant Diseases “Iskra” from Banja Luka.
She added that she can not specify when the construction of the house might be ended because of the winter that is coming, which will certainly make the construction much more difficult, as well as because of the lack of funds.
“When it comes to finances, the construction by the contract with the contractor will cost 970.000 BAM. We collected 850,000 BAM, so we will need more funds, and after the construction, we need equipment for which we will also need resources,” said Beric.
“We collected 850,000 BAM for construction of this house at the end of last year thanks to the humanitarian action “With love to brave hearts” that was carried out for 5 years, and the foundation stone was laid in mid-September by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.”
