Today, the Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton Adnan Delic and Belma Barlov, Director of the Institute for Construction of Canton Sarajevo, which supervises, signed annexes to the agreement with authorized representatives of four municipalities to continue work on infrastructure arrangement of business zones in Novi Grad Sarajevo, Centar, Vogosca and Hadzici.

The total value of the agreements signed today is 2,266,459 BAM, of which 632,941.15 BAM is for the final works on the arrangement of the new business-industrial zone in Vogosca.

“Today we signed an agreement to co-finance the arrangement of the western access road in the new industrial zone, which is essentially the construction of a bridge from Omladinska Street and the reconstruction of part of Brace Planja Street, which will complete the work on this industrial zone,” said Edin Smajic from the Municipality of Vogosca.

An agreement worth 801,943.33 BAM was signed for the project of arranging a business-industrial zone in the municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, while 799,675.03 BAM was allocated for the project in the municipality of Hadzici.

Srdan Mandic, Mayor of Centar, pointed out that Minister Delic is a new energy in the Government of CS when it comes to the economy, and that he is grateful for the continuous support in resolving property and legal relations and infrastructure arrangements within the IT park “Sip”, for which in this first phase of co-financing, the Ministry of Economy allocated one million BAM.

Minister Delic reminded that the improvement and infrastructural arrangement of business zones is one of the most important investments because some of the most important obstacles encountered by investors who want to invest in Sarajevo Canton are unregulated business zones, which are a very important factor for investors when deciding on investment location.

“In the budget of the Ministry of Economy of CS, seven million BAM are planned for infrastructural arrangement of zones, and this year we continue the positive practice of increasing these allocations. This is the first round of signing agreements for co-financing projects submitted by local governments.” Delic said.
