An additional 350.000 doses of the polio vaccine have arrived in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Minister of Health, Maged Abu Ramadan, announced that an additional 350.000 doses of the polio vaccine arrived two nights ago in the Gaza Strip. These doses are being stored in the Ministry of Health’s refrigerated facilities in Deir al-Balah.
Abu Ramadan noted that this effort is being carried out in coordination with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). With the arrival of these vaccines, the total number of doses delivered to the Gaza Strip has reached approximately 1.6 million.
He emphasized that this amount is sufficient to vaccinate all children up to the age of ten. According to him, the children will receive two doses of the vaccine.
The vaccination campaign will cover more than 640.000 children under the age of ten in the Gaza Strip.
