germanLast week in Banja Luka was closed the second “Drill and Chill Climbing and Highlining Festival” and the world record on walking the tightrope at an altitude above the ground or water was broken.

Above the canyon Tijesno was placed nylon rope of 413 meters, on which “walked” German Julian Mittermaier, and broke the world record.

The festival was organized by climbing club Extreme from Banja Luka from the 8th to 18th of September, with the aim to strengthen the development of climbing as a sport and active, healthy and sustainable life outdoors. It gathered more than 100 fans of extreme sports who have tried their skills on a rope.

“Drill & Chill Climbing and Highlining Festival” is based on the idea of connecting people, sharing skills, knowledge, resources and well spent time among climbers from Central Europe,” according to their Facebook page.
