Representatives of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight Against Corruption of BiH (APIK) and the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption of North Macedonia agreed today at a meeting in Skopje that they will sign a cooperation agreement that will define future strengthening of bilateral cooperation and mutual support of these two institutions within regional and multilateral activities.

At a very constructive working meeting, the officials discussed experiences and necessary activities to improve the protection of whistleblowers and strengthen awareness of the prevention of corruption in society.

In addition, there was talk of the need for stronger cooperation with the non-governmental sector, as well as the role of state bodies in the fight against corruption in the process of initiating and adopting legislation related to lobbying.

The leadership of APIK is staying in North Macedonia at the invitation and in the organization of the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the occasion of holding an anti-corruption seminar on the topic “Prevention and suppression of corruption, perspectives of France and South-Eastern Europe”, announced APIK.
