AIDA GARIB ŠTIKLE ZAMIJENILA VOJNIM ÈIZMAMAWomen in military uniforms have been always present in European and international lines. This has happened in B&H as well. One of the uniformed girls, Aida Garib from Visoko of the 6th Infantry Brigade of the B&H Armed Forces in B&H for already one year proves that in this profession, women are equal to men.

Aida Garib for Agency Fena said that she has replaced heels with military boots because this profession was her favorite since she was a little girl. Despite the military boots, she says that she feels and behaves as a lady.

“I have always considered women in uniforms as strong”, said Garib.

Before joining the army, she says that she has applied for many vacancies in state institutions, where she fulfilled all the requirements but there was no positive response. Stubborn and determined, as she describes herself, she did not give up. She finally found a job where she was accepted.

“When I was informed that I was accepted for the training, my life changed, everything was different and nicer. Waking up early, morning activities, training and classes. I thought I will not make it, but now I am happy and I think that there is no other job that would satisfy me as this one”, said Garib.

The rules in military are same as for men and women.

“Rules apply to all and we are equal in everything. I am proud of myself each time I achieve better results than my male colleagues”, she added.

She emphasized that she is especially proud to be an expert in shooting with automatic rifle M16 A1.
