ALEXANDER BAUERDeputy Minister of Defense for Policy and Planning Marina Pendeš received in a farewell visit the doctrine advisor for logistics of the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo Colonel Alexander Bauer.

Pendeš thanked Colonel Bauer for his successful cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the B&H Armed Forces, and in his three year mandate he contributed to the realization of a number of important activities aimed at assisting the Ministry of Defense and B&H Armed Forces in equipping and reaching capacity of interoperability, especially in the area of logistics.

‘’During his mandate and work, Colonel Bauer demonstrated the highest professional standards and quality, honoring his country and the Armed Forces of his country, the more so since Austria gives remarkable contribution to B&H’s integration process into NATO by being a part of the composition of EUFOR forces in B&H’’, said Pendeš

Bauer expressed gratitude for the reception and stressed his satisfaction with cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and B&H Armed Forces, particularly emphasizing the exercise LOGEX13 that was held in February of this year in Sarajevo and included the participation of members of the Armed Forces of 26 countries.

He said he expects B&H to become a part of the Membership Action Plan for NATO soon.
