”The public needs to know which political parties truly support the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of B&H”- said Ambassador of Great Britain Nigel Casey in Sarajevo, who met today with the president of SDU B&H Nermin Pećanac.
Pećanac fully agrees with Ambassador’s claim and he said that the political scene in B&H needs to get more serious by strengthening the political forces of those who want a sovereign, independent and inseparable B&H and those who want to work on its economic improvement and those who will not turn their back on confronting and fighting crime and corruption.
They also talked about the current political situation in our country, with the emphasis on the implementation of the ”Sejdić-Finci” verdict as well as about the political views and relations when the improvement of the country towards the EU is concerned. British Ambassador commended the implementation of changes in the Constitution of Canton Sarajevo according to the decision from the ”Sejdić-Finci” verdict.
Ambassador Casey also stressed the fact that the process of strengthening the political determination for the improvement of the country is essential on the path towards EU. At the end of the meeting, Pećanac and Ambassador Casey concluded that B&H’s path towards EU and NATO is the best alternative for surpassing the current state in the country.
