cormackThe USA are supporting the European path of B&H, as the ambassador of the USA, Maureen Cormack repeated yesterday in Gradiska.

After a several-our working visit to the municipality Gradiska and talk with the Mayor of the municipality Gradiska, Zoran Latinovic, ambassador Cormack commended efforts in the economic development.

She reminded that the Government of the USA is providing support to the customs administration in B&H through certain projects.

Mayor of the municipality Gradiska, Zoran Latinovic, emphasized that the main theme of the talk was how to enable the local economic development, realize the project of the bypass that would connect the section of the highway with the main road Banja Luka-Gradiska, and how to enable the development of business zones through the USAID and the GOLD project.

We must not allow Gradiska to be only a transit point, the biggest and the most frequent border crossing in B&H, but it is necessary to build logistical centers of business and free trade zones in order to enable the economic development and the employment.

Latinovic added that they are already working on it and they will continue doing it in the next period, but he expects the support of the Council of Ministers of B&H, the Government of RS, but also certain embassies of the world major countries as well.

Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority B&H, Miro Dzakula, said that the first phase of the new border crossing with the customs terminal should be finished by the end of October.

As he said, it will be one of the best border crossings in this part of Europe, and all citizens will feel the benefits of it, because the current border crossing does not meet needs imposed by this corridor.
