Ambassador of BiH to Malaysia Hosted Meeting of BiH Diaspora and Former Prime Minister of Malaysia

The Ambassador of BiH to Malaysia Tarik Bukvić held a meeting at the BiH Embassy in Kuala Lumpur of the BiH diaspora with the former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Muhamed and leading Malaysian business people.

Ambassador Bukvić thanked Mahathir, because he tirelessly worked in the interests of BiH on the international political scene and frequently assisted in the development of our country on all levels, and he showed his friendly attitude and inclination towards BiH when he gave refugee to a number of people from BiH.

Mahathir expressed his satisfaction that he had the opportunity to meet with BiH diaspora, and he called Malaysian companies to invest in BiH, especially in the hotel and tourism industries.

He noted the efforts from the Malaysian side to establish a direct flight with BIh and plans to invest in the renovation or construction of a new airport, and they are still ready for such a project.

The meting in the BiH Embassy in Kuala Lumpur was attended by the General Secretary of UMNO party Datuk Seri Tengku Adnad bih Tengku Mansur, the Director of the Institute for Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs Dato Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari, the rector of the International Islamic University prof. dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, and Malaysian business people who have already invested in our country.
