Bosnian Minister of Security Fahrudin Radoncic met on Friday with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina Margret Uebber to discuss security challenges and the migrant crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, an Agreement on the donation of equipment from the Ministry of Interior of Germany to the Ministry of Security of BiH was signed, which consists of 18 video conferencing systems worth 30,000 Euros.

Ambassador Uebber also announced a new one million euro donation to Bosnian Border Police, consisting of ten vehicles for the transport of persons, devices for detecting counterfeit documents, and devices for detecting weapons, drugs and other equipment.

For his part, minister Radoncic thanked for this valuable donation, pointing out that it will be of great help to border police officers in their daily work, especially in the fight against cross-border crime and illegal migration.

Radoncic and Ambassador Uebber have jointly stated that the issue of illegal migrants is a major challenge for BiH and the EU member states and that it must be addressed in accordance with the highest humanitarian and legal standards.
