Bosnian Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic met with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Andrea Rauber Saxer in a farewell visit on Friday.

Minister Turkovic expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, to which Ambassador Rauber Saxer also contributed during her term of office.

She expressed gratitude to the Government of Switzerland as one of the largest donors to BiH over the past 20 years, for its contribution to improving political stability and security, economic development and functioning of democratic structures and processes.

Ambassador Rauber Saxer thanked Minister Turkovic for the good cooperation, emphasizing that Switzerland remains committed to friendly relations and cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She expressed satisfaction with her stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, during which, as she said, she had the opportunity to meet our country and wonderful people. She also briefed on Switzerland’s candidacies for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council and for the Universal Postal Union, expressing hope for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s support.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Turkovic thanked Ambassador Rauber Saxer for her overall engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina and wished her success in her future work.
