Armed with a firearm, a man entered Zagreb’s Rebro hospital shortly after 10 o’clock this morning.

It is learned that the man is armed with a gun, and patients, staff and visitors of the hospital have been instructed to leave the hospital.

The emergency police are in the hospital, Zagreb media reported.

Portal Indeks also published a photo of the police in the courtyard of the hospital, which they say was sent to them by a reader.

Jutarnji list writes that doctors and other staff locked themselves in the offices with the patients.

“At the psychiatric ward in the Green Building of KBC Zagreb, the intervention police are currently negotiating with a man who broke in there with a gun. The area has been emptied of people, no one is in danger, the police are negotiating. We don’t know if the gun is real or not,” dr. Milivoj Novak, assistant director of KBC told Vecernji List.
