A bomb was thrown at the private house of the head of the Municipality of Stari Grad, Irfan Čengić, on the night from Sunday to Monday. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the police are looking for the perpetrator.
On the occasion of this unfortunate event, Čengić will address the public and present his findings while the police work to clarify the case.
Cengić told Klix.ba this morning that throwing a bomb at the house where he lives with his family will not discourage him from continuing the processes he promised the people. He added that they thought it was a coincidence that last week a bomb was thrown in the street where the family of councilor Vedad Deljković lives.
“Last night, an explosive device was thrown at my house before sehur with the aim of intimidating me in order to stop the process of returning state property to the people from those who have been usurping it for years. Recently, representatives of the embassies asked me if I was afraid to lead the process, the answer to them was the same as today. God and people have given me the trust to lead difficult processes, I will not give up even a millimeter, because if the first man of the community withdraws under pressure, what can ordinary people expect tomorrow when they come to their door,” Čengić tells Klix.ba.
