Analysis: Production of Milk, Number of slaughtered Cattle

In August of 2018 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 4,4% in relation with the same period of 2017. Production of drinking milk increased by 0,1%, acidified milk by 13,1%, butter and other yellow fat products by 19,6% and cow’s cheese by 1,6%, while the production of cream decreased by 2,8% in relation with the same period of 2017.

The total amount of milk fat increased by 0,3%, while the total amount of milk protein remained on the same level in relation with the same period of 2017.

According to BiH’s Agency for Statistics, in August 2018 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 43,95%, sheep by 12,09% and pigs by 12,05%, while the number of slaughtered poultry increased by 1,87% in relation with the same period of 2017.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 59,54%, of slaughtered sheep by 5,06% and of slaughtered pigs by 11,67%, while the net weight of slaughtered poultry increased by 3,03% in relation with the same period of 2017.
