Ancelotti Set to Exit Kings’ Bench After Shocking Defeat

The current coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, will leave the club’s bench from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium after the final of the Spanish Cup, which will be played on April 26, reports Sky Sports exclusively.

Ancelotti’s future in Madrid was uncertain after a heavy defeat in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, in which the Royals performed below expectations and were convincingly eliminated by Arsenal 5:1 on aggregate.

In that match, Real was completely powerless, and in some moments humiliated, without a real opportunity to advance against the English club that dominated in both matches. All this further strengthened the impression that Carlo’s time in Madrid is coming to an end.

According to the same source, it is expected that the 65-year-old Italian expert will remain on the bench until the final match of the Cup, which will be played in Seville, and then he will officially say goodbye to the club.

In the final, Real will play against Barcelona, with whom they are fighting for the title of Spanish champion. The Catalans are currently leading the standings with a four-point advantage and seven rounds left in the championship.

In addition to the Cup final, Real and Barcelona will also face off in the league El Clasico, scheduled for May 11, but Real will not be led by the trophy-winning Italian coach in that match.

Carlo’s future, it seems, could be linked to the Brazilian Football Federation, which wants to hire him as a coach, where he would succeed Dorival Junior.
