Another EU Country Market to open for BH Seasonal Workers?

Delegation of the Agency for Labour and Employment of BiH, led by the director Muamer Bandic, is currently in the Republic of Austria where they discussed the possibilities of seasonal employment of BH workers in this country with representatives of the Austrian Employment Service (AMS).

In accordance with its competences, the Agency for Labour and Employment of BiH started conversation on this topic and, if they find common ground, this initiative will be submitted to the Council of Ministers of BiH with the aim of concluding an Agreement on seasonal employment between these two countries.

The Republic of Austria is facing a shortage of workforce in recent years, especially during the winter tourist season, and this is a great opportunity for seasonal workers from our country.

This type of cooperation between these two institutions will guarantee to our workers, after its conclusion and entry into force, to have all the rights as the domestic labour force in Austria but also that the employment will be conducted in a legal and regulated manner.

Moreover, this agreement would enable monitoring of the departure of workers from BiH in Austria as well as their return to our country, as announced by the Agency for Labour and Employment of BiH.
